Call Of Duty 4 Retail Video Captures

Well I splurged today. I went down to Sim Lim, and snapped up BOTH Call Of Duty 4, as well as Hellgate London.

Seeing as Hellgate is an RPG, which would take a much longer time to complete (yeah look at Bioshock, I still haven’t finished THAT!), I opted to install COD4 first. Well actually I’ll install both but I will start to “get into it” on COD 4 first.

To my pleasant surprise when all the installation is done, the retail game is nothing like the demo. You are brought through the story via cinematics (as discussed in the previous blog post), and then you’re dropped into training.

By the way, I found it neat that the game tries to gauge your skill level while you’re completing your training. Right at the end it’ll suggest the difficulty of the game to be set, as you can see in the video above.

Right after training, you’re hurled smack into the middle of the introduction mission (technically not even mission 1, more like a Prologue). I broke this up into 2 parts to get around Youtube’s 10 minute restriction.

As you can see, the story’s pretty gripping, and we’re just past the Prologue!

For those who might be curious, here’s a screenshot of the graphic settings on my system. It’s not much different from the auto-detect on the demo, except I bumped the resolution down to 1024×768 instead of having it stay at 1280×1024.

The videos captures do show a slight lag due to FRAPS running and capturing the action, and I can say that the system requirements for the retail game seems to be more than the demo. I will probably try to turn some stuff off and see if it gets as smooth as it did during the demo.

Since I’m tired of listing my system specs in every blog post, look on the sidebar for my system specs 🙂

I hope you enjoyed the clips! I think I’m gonna be busy this coming week till the weekend, perhaps even more!
